In 2014, Margot Robbie’s Wikipedia page was updated to claim that the Australian actress’s birthplace was the rural Queensland town Dalby—more than 200 kilometres north-west of Brisbane.
But in an interview with Magic FM, Margot revealed that the “internet has had my place of birth wrong… the whole time.”
She said, “I was born on the Gold Coast.”
“It’s not a stupid rumour… It’s just amazing that this far along it’s still incorrect.”
While the 35-year-old was born in the major Queensland city, she did spend the first few years of her life with her family in Dalby, but she moved back to the Gold Coast after her parents separated.
